AWOL for a while
Hullo good folx!
I miss you and apologize for being AWOL (though it’s in my blood since my parents were AWOL from the US when I was conceived, LOL!). It may be a bit longer before I’m back in your inbox (thanks so much for fitting me into it—good thing I’m flexi as it’s so small!) with anything substantial, thoughtful or beneficial. And please be patient with me on responding as I am well and truly eyeballs-deep innit at the moment…
I’m currently assisting several dwarf planet astrology courses, teaching one on Ceres fully myself, teaching at a yoga teacher training, preparing to do Take 2 of my solo show Heaven On Earth (see below), still juggling house/critter-sitting for housing, and most definitely not least I’m finishing my research on “Our relationship to the places in which we live” for my Masters at the University of Queensland. Your support on this blog has been so valued in helping me meet uni fees and to feel I’m on the right track with this pursuit, so thank you, thank you, thank you!
A heads-up for those of you in Brisbane, I’d so LOVE to have you join me for my first long-from stand-up special 19 July 7-8pm or 2 Aug 2-3pm:
HEAVEN ON EARTH (Take 2) - love comes first
Melissa Elvira hosts a speed-of-light journey through our expanded solar system that now includes numerous dwarf planets named after creation deities of many cultures, not just the Greco-Roman (which has reigned long enough).
As above, so below.
Here on our homeworld, Earth, we now celebrate the beauty and diversity that is human consciousness.
Even if finding love in the apocalyptic Anthropocene (speed) dating scene feels like other homo sapiens are not even from the same species.
In a world where coming (and coming first) still comes first, what would it look like if LOVE comes first instead?
How is any of this, or the precarious health of our planet, FUNNY?! Come along to find out!
